IndiTrace vs TraceX: An Honest TraceX Alternative Comparison
TraceX suits enterprises and EUDR filing; IndiTrace suits small food brands that want batch QR trace pages at public prices. Here is where each one fits.
Short answer: TraceX is the deeper product. It covers enterprise supply chains and EUDR compliance, and it has a large customer base and content library. IndiTrace is a narrower, newer tool. It records batches, gives each batch a public QR trace page and fingerprints confirmed records on Polygon, and its self-serve prices start at ₹149 a month. If you need EUDR due-diligence filing, choose TraceX. If you are a small brand that mainly needs batch records customers can scan, IndiTrace may be enough.
We make IndiTrace, so read this with that in mind. Every TraceX fact below links to TraceX's own site or a named third party and was checked in October 2026. Where a fact is not public, we say so.
What TraceX does well
TraceX has real strengths, and they matter to buyers.
- Enterprise depth. TraceX sells food traceability, farm management and compliance products to large agribusinesses. Its food traceability solution page covers farm-to-fork tracking for processors and brands (as of October 2026).
- EUDR tooling. Its EUDR compliance solution has a free Basic tier that lets you onboard suppliers, upload GeoJSON plots, run geometry checks and generate due diligence statements (DDS). The paid Standard tier adds satellite-based risk assessment and filing in the EU's TRACES information system. The Professional tier adds API integrations with ERP and supplier systems (as of October 2026). IndiTrace does none of this.
- Named customers. TraceX publishes case studies with Indian brands, such as Go Desi and Organic India (as of October 2026).
- Content and reviews. Its sitemap lists roughly 1,400 posts and 480 glossary terms. It is also listed with reviews on Capterra and G2 (as of October 2026).
If your buyer asks you to file EUDR statements, integrate with your ERP, or show a vendor with a track record of named customers, TraceX has all of that today.
What IndiTrace does, and where it stops
IndiTrace is built for food businesses that want each batch on record and on the pack:
- You record each batch's source: farmer or supplier, place, dates, quantity and grade.
- You add processing steps and custody transfers between parties, and attach lab reports, certificates and photos.
- Each batch gets a QR code that opens a public trace page with a route map. Shoppers need no app and no login.
- Each confirmed record is fingerprinted on Polygon. That proves the record has not been edited since. It does not prove the facts in it are true. Our explainer on what blockchain verifies covers that difference.
Plainly, here is what IndiTrace does not do:
- It is newer, with no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet and no named public case studies yet.
- It does not file EUDR due diligence statements or analyse plot geolocation. See our EUDR glossary entry for what the regulation asks.
- It does not certify products or validate claims.
- It does not offer an SDK or API keys.

Pricing in practice
TraceX publishes EUDR prices per supplier per month, with a one-time setup fee on the paid tiers (as of October 2026, source). For its food traceability product, you contact sales.
IndiTrace prices are on the pricing page. You pay per proof credit, which is roughly one batch record. There is no setup fee, and the Free Starter Pack needs no card. The trade-off is scope: you get batch records and trace pages, not compliance filing or integrations.
Which one fits
- Exporter with EU buyers who need EUDR statements: TraceX. IndiTrace cannot file a DDS or check plot geolocation. Our exporters page explains what IndiTrace can add alongside a compliance tool.
- Large processor or agribusiness needing ERP integration, many users and an account team: TraceX.
- Buyer whose procurement team needs reviews and named references: TraceX, today.
- Small D2C or artisan food brand that wants a scannable batch story on the pack: IndiTrace is likely the simpler and cheaper start. See solutions for food brands.
- Spice, tea or GI-origin seller who wants to show farm, lot, lab report and route per batch: IndiTrace, if you do not also need compliance filing. See solutions for spice brands.
- Unsure: try the IndiTrace free pack on one or two real batches, and ask TraceX for a quote. Compare what each shows a customer and what each costs per batch.
Questions
Q: Is IndiTrace a full TraceX alternative? No. It replaces the batch record and consumer QR trace page part of what TraceX offers. It does not replace TraceX's EUDR filing, satellite risk checks or enterprise integrations.
Q: Does TraceX publish its prices? For its EUDR product, yes: a free Basic tier and per-supplier paid tiers with a setup fee, as of October 2026. For its food traceability and consumer QR product, no public price was published as of October 2026.
Q: Does the Polygon fingerprint mean IndiTrace verifies my product? No. It shows a confirmed record has not been changed since it was recorded. Whether the facts are true still depends on the people entering them and on the documents attached.
Q: Can I start small and switch later? Yes. The Free Starter Pack needs no card and there is no setup fee, so trying IndiTrace on a few batches costs little. If you grow into needing EUDR filing or ERP links, a larger platform such as TraceX may then be the better fit.
